Day of Transit at the Kitt Peak National Observatory, Arizona

I think, I got the best gig of the century. I'm going to give a talk DURING the transit of Venus at the Kitt Peak National Observatory in Arizona.

The transit begins just after 3pm - so we will be able to see Venus's entry onto the sun ... if it's sunny but they have a 93% chance of sunshine there! And then as Venus slowly marches across the disc of the sun, I'm going to give a talk at 4pm about 'Chasing Venus'. What fun.
