my thanks for Invention of Nature; the most impactful book I've read in many decades...and so I told my former students and friends on FB and at their request started an on line "class" centered on Alexander Von Humboldt. It got 86 hits and probably an actual number of a dozen people setting off to read Invention of Nature. We need it and you now more than ever. Dr. Jeff Perrill
